Jason Okun is an intellectual property attorney with extensive experience in worldwide patent portfolio management and patent prosecution, including complex prosecution. In addition, Jason works with clients on IP due diligences and provides opinions, including those on validity, clearance, and patentability. Many leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies have turned to Jason for assistance in analyzing, developing, and protecting patent portfolios covering products expected to become, or that are already, blockbusters. He has prosecuted more than 1,000 patent applications, and developed and executed strategies that have aided clients in securing more robust patent protection for their most prized and promising products. Many of those same companies also rely on Jason for advice regarding listing of patents in the Orange Book and for applying for Patent Term Extension (PTE) based upon regulatory review.
