He is experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial loan documents and loan restructurings for a variety of credit facilities including asset-based credit facilities, factoring facilities, convertible debt facilities, and real estate term loans secured by owner-occupied properties, multi-family properties, shopping centers, and office buildings. Corbitt also advises clients on all stages of the lifecycle of a real estate project, including review and analysis of due diligence materials, negotiation and consummation of the purchase or sale of the project, and preparing and negotiating office, retail, and ground leases. Additionally, he represents major utilities, private investment funds and independent power producers in connection with the acquisition and disposition of electrical generation facilities throughout the United States. On real estate projects, I represent both owners and sellers as well as landlords and tenants. What type of matters do you work on most often? My primary area of focus has been drafting and negotiating commercial loans and loan restructurings. These transactions have ranged from asset-based credit facilities to real estate term loans secured by a variety of real estate projects located throughout the United States. What do you find most exciting about your work? No day or deal is the same. Every loan or real estate transaction has its own challenges, which makes each day interesting.
