Mr. Stankus has litigated patent infringement cases in numerous federal district courts and has experience with intellectual property due diligence, pre-suit investigation, and preparing opinions related to infringement and validity.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stankus was an attorney for a large intellectual property boutique in New York City, worked at a Fortune 500's in-house patent prosecution department, and was an engineer at a top-rated consulting firm. During law school, Mr. Stankus served as an intern to the Honorable Joan G. Margolis, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Connecticut. He also participated in UConn Law's Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, where he drafted and prosecuted patent and trademark applications for entrepreneurs.
