Mr. Richard graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2009 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, Mr. Richard worked as a product development engineer at a semiconductor company in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he developed software for automated equipment for testing Hall effect sensors. In 2013, Mr. Richard earned his degree from Boston University School of Law.
During the summer after 1L, Mr. Richard interned at a small Boston IP boutique. This solidified his interest in parent law, and drove him to apply for a summer associate position at an international IP law firm the following summer. Mr. Richard spent the early years of his career at that law firm, where he worked with all areas of domestic and international patent prosecution, including patent portfolio strategy and development, patentability analysis, freedom to operate analysis, validity opinions, and infringement opinions. Mr. Richard's technical experience lies in medical devices, semiconductors, software and computer engineering, analog and digital circuitry, wireless communication, mechanical arts, and wearable devices, among others.
Mr. Richard is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the USPTO.
