Washington, District of Columbia

Leslie enjoys working closely with her clients to preserve their family legacies and ensure their wealth transfer goals are achieved. Outside of work, Leslie likes hiking and spending time outdoors with her husband and three children. Leslie focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, federal transfer taxation, estate and trust administration, and charitable giving. She assists her clients in developing and implementing comprehensive estate plans that are customized to minimize taxes while meeting each client’s unique non-tax objectives. Clients also rely on Leslie to modernize and streamline existing estate plans through nonjudicial settlement agreements, decanting, and other trust modification techniques. In her estate administration work Leslie advises fiduciaries on all aspects of estate and trust administration. Clients appreciate Leslie’s approachability and thoughtfulness, and her ability to communicate in a way that simplifies complex principles of tax and trust law. Prior to joining IPB, Leslie practiced law for over fifteen years with AmLaw 100 and boutique firms in Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia. Before entering private practice, she clerked for the Honorable James P. Jones of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
