Jeff Weintraub is a partner in the Memphis office. He is a trial attorney who has represented employers in numerous jury and bench trials in the private and public sectors in employment-harassment/discrimination and retaliatory discharge “whistleblower” lawsuits alleging violations of public policies and statutes. Jeff also handles EEOC and NLRB charges, FLSA collective & hybrid class actions, labor cases, and enforcing non-competes in all federal and state courts and agencies, various Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He provides training for employers in avoiding harassment charges and employment litigation and is a frequent speaker at employment and labor seminars & webinars around the country. He is on the Board of SHRM-Memphis, and for many years he has taught the Employee Relations & Labor component in SHRM’s HR Certification course in Memphis. Jeff is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.
In 2021, Jeff was awarded the Human Resources Lifetime Achievement Award by SHRM-MEMPHIS. Jeff has been selected for Chambers USA’s leading employment attorneys, 2020 Top 50 Super Lawyers in Memphis & Top 100 Super Lawyers in Tennessee, HR Executive’s 100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers from 2017-2019 and 2016 Top 20 Lawyers in the United States in Traditional Labor & Employment Law. Jeff is a member of the Executive Board of the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America, comprising over 26,000 scouts and 5,000 leaders in 17 counties in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, and he is a recipient of the Council’s Silver Beaver Award. He also is on the Board of the Memphis Orchestral Society.
