Matthew is an efficient team manager, leading the day-to-day operations of large teams on litigation matters across the United States, with values in the billions of dollars, from diligence through trial. He has conducted 50+ depositions, argued many Markman hearings, handled numerous substantive and dispositive motions, and directed witnesses at trial. In addition to his litigation experience, he is also experienced winning intellectual property disputes involving the government and contractors. His broad litigation and trial experience make him an asset in any dispute. As business-focused attorney, Matthew routinely advises his clients on leveraging existing assets to achieve their business goals. He also regularly counsels his clients on how to identify marketplace opportunities, create valuable IP, and conduct the due diligence necessary to assess risks and move the business forward with confidence. Matthew first joined Fish as a summer associate in 2011. He is admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Texas bar. Prior to his legal career, Matthew was a chief structural engineering instructor and an aircraft battle damage repair engineer as a Captain in the United States Air Force.
