Jacob C. Harper IV serves clients in the firm’s business, corporations, and real estate practice areas. He comes to Brinson Askew Berry after working five years as Associate Counsel for the Alabama Department of Finance. His primary practice areas were contract, administrative, real property, insurance, and personnel law. Jacob also served in the Governor’s Legal Office as Special Counsel for Contracts. He previously practiced with Balch and Bingham, LLP in Montgomery, Alabama where he primarily assisted in litigation in state and federal court involving commercial, employment, environmental, and personal injury law. Jacob graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2014. In addition, he graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Biosystems Engineering with a minor in Agribusiness. He and his wife, Landon Watters Harper, have a son, Cal. Jacob is an Eagle Scout.
