May Eaton holds a master of science in electrical engineering from Caltech and focuses on high-tech patent litigation in U.S. federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She has represented clients in a diverse range of technologies and industries, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony, computer networking, wireless communications, social networking, medical devices, artificial intelligence, and signal processing. May is experienced in all aspects of patent litigation from pre-filing analysis and discovery through trial and post-trial motions and has successfully argued motions in district court. May has additionally represented clients before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and has significant experience in hardware, software, and trademark licensing, open-source software licensing and compliance, and trade secret misappropriation litigation. She is committed to pro bono work and has represented pro bono clients in matters including asylum hearings and civil rights litigation.
