Stan Lewis works on a range of intellectual property matters, focusing primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution. Mr. Lewis has experience working with a broad range of technologies including electrical and computer engineering, telecommunications, networking, photonics, software and the mechanical arts. Mr. Lewis has defended an industry leading network equipment manufacturer in multiple lawsuits against patent infringement claims directed to technologies including optical networking and ASIC design. Mr. Lewis has asserted claims of patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation on behalf of a telecommunications equipment manufacturer against a competitor. For a manufacturing client, Mr. Lewis has asserted claims of patent and trademark infringement, as well as trade secret misappropriation, against a generic-brand competitor. Prior to law school, Mr. Lewis worked in the telecommunications industry for fifteen years as a software engineer. Mr. Lewis developed optical networking equipment for Cisco Systems, Inc. Also at Cisco, Mr. Lewis designed and implemented network architectures for service providers and large enterprise customers.
