He takes a thorough and detail-oriented approach to his work, drawing on his experience as an engineer and his business training to better understand his clients' needs. John has coordinated domestic and parallel international patent prosecution of a large patent portfolio for a Fortune 500 footwear client. John has also drafted opinions regarding freedom to operate, non-infringement, and invalidity for established and innovative startup companies alike. During law school, John worked as a legal intern at the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center, a technical consultant for the U.S. subsidiary of a multinational textile company, and as a law clerk at a Fortune 500 company. Before entering the legal profession, he worked as an electrical engineer in both the oil and gas industry and LED lighting Industry. Prior to receiving his bachelor's degree, John served his country through six years of military service as a member of the U.S. Navy.
