We have established offices in Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Washington, DC. In addition, a number of our appellate attorneys are former state and federal judicial law clerks, including those who have clerked in state supreme courts and in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Candidates must have a substantial and self-sufficient book of portable business (ideally $400,000+) as well as a demonstrated drive and the potential for additional business generation. Candidates will have the opportunity to take advantage of a well-developed national platform as well as a supportive local office base to expand his/her/their existing client base. Our firm offers flexibility with rates and client service arrangements, with outstanding cross-selling opportunities and autonomy. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where they reside and their license must be active and in good standing. The ideal candidate: Has clerked in an appellate court, preferably a federal appellate court; Has written appellate briefs in state and federal court; Has a desire to grow and expand current client base and legal experience; Is admitted to the appellate bar of one or more federal circuit courts; and Has a self-sufficient portable book of business ($400,000+) with the ability to support other’s clients. If a candidate has more than 10 years of experience in appellate law, that ideal candidate also: Has orally argued four or more appellate cases in state and federal court; and Is known as an appellate lawyer in that lawyer’s local or regional community.
