Role purpose To sustain the growth of its Competition and EU practice in Brussels, Allen & Overy LLP Belgium is currently looking for a Belgian qualified Associate. Our Competition practice group advises on all aspects of competition law and represents clients before the European Commission, the national competition authorities and the courts in a wide range of sectors. We have been involved in some of the most complex and high-profile cartel cases, behavioural antitrust matters and merger filings. In advising our clients we have a positive aim, we do not simply advise on what cannot be done, but instead work imaginatively and constructively to ensure that our clients’ commercial objectives are met, whilst fully complying with EU and national competition rules. Who we are looking for You obtained a Belgian Master in Law with outstanding academic results; You have 3-6 years of experience in the Competition department of a reputable firm; You have an excellent command of English and Dutch (written and spoken), knowledge of French and/or German would be a plus; You are a team player with excellent legal capabilities and are able to work independently; you are solution-oriented and have good communication skills.
