Downey Brand litigates trust and estate disputes throughout California on behalf of individuals, bank trust departments, private professional fiduciaries and charitable beneficiaries. The Trust and Estate litigators have an opportunity for a mid- to senior-level litigation associate with 3-6 years’ experience to join their practice in Sacramento. The person hired for this role must have substantial litigation experience, including preparing pleadings, drafting/arguing motions, and conducting depositions and other discovery. Preference will be given to candidates with trust and estate litigation experience, and/or estate planning and administration experience, but it is not required. The successful candidate will have exceptional research, writing, and communication skills, strong academic credentials, and the ability to work independently.
