Job Description: Williams Mullen is seeking a motived associate with at least 4 years’ experience in Construction Litigation to join our established and successful Construction practice group in our Tysons, VA office. Job Requirements: At least 4 years’ experience with Construction law, including drafting and negotiating commercial construction contracts, preparing and addressing construction claims, analyzing schedule and cost-related issues, bid and size protests, subcontractor disputes and related client inquiries, and defending against construction claims in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Successful candidates will possess the ambition to excel and enjoy working in a small-office environment with the benefits of large-firm resources and cross-office engagement. We offer the ability to own a case from beginning to end while also getting to work on multiple other cases and deadlines. Ideal candidates will demonstrate aptitude to strategically plan; strong negotiations skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time well and to work independently often. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction. Also have the drive and energy to take initiative to advance projects and be meticulous with details. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive in or a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
