Candidate should have 3-4 years (classes 2020-2021) of transactional or litigation experience in energy or utility sector. Experience with administrative litigation and counseling clients before federal agencies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or a state agency, is important. The legal practice for this posting includes prosecuting administrative litigation and regulatory approvals, as well as defending audit and enforcement actions, for natural gas and liquid pipeline clients, electric transmission providers, and energy market participants before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; negotiation of agreements for the use of oil and gas infrastructure, such as transportation, gathering, and processing agreements and related marketing agreements; and regulatory compliance counseling and regulatory support for mergers and acquisitions.
