At CoBank, our Corporate Attorney supports and directs all legal aspects of commercial loan and other legal transactions. In addition, this position provides legal advice, including direction on transactional matters and other legal issues.

<b>Basic Qualifications</b>
</div>
<ul>
<li> Juris Doctor degree from an approved law school and state bar admission.</li>
<li> 2-5 years of relevant experience.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<b> Preferred Qualifications</b>
</div>
<ul>
<li> Intermediate to advanced analytical skills, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills, and planning and administration skills highly recommended.</li>
<li> Intermediate to advanced knowledge of corporate and commercial law in the context of sophisticated commercial loan transactions, including real estate and personal property collateral, participations, and syndications. </li>
<li>Experience representing lenders and borrowers in negotiating, documenting, and closing a wide range of commercial financing transactions, including syndications.</li>
<li> Intermediate knowledge of other areas of law related to financing transactions (e.g., environmental law, special assets and bankruptcy, asset-based lending, construction financing, etc).</li>
<li> Basic knowledge of the laws and regulations affecting the Farm Credit System.</li>

<li> Estimated Base Salary Range: $115,000-$150,000</li>
<li> Target short-term incentive opportunity: 20%</li>
