<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText" dir="ltr"><div> <div> <b>Religious Liberty Clinic Transactional Legal Fellow (Tax) - 2 Year Limited Term</b> <br> <br> <b>University of Notre Dame</b> </div> <br> The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a <b>Religious Liberty Clinic Transactional Legal Fellow (Tax) - 2 Year Limited Term</b>. <br> <br> <b>Applications will be accepted until 4/14/2023. </b> <br> <br> Notre Dame Law School's Religious Liberty Initiative promotes religious freedom through scholarship, events, and the Law School's Religious Liberty Clinic. In the Clinic, RLI faculty and staff train a team of law students in the practice of law as they work on cutting edge matters in defense of the fundamental right of individuals and organizations to hold, express, exercise, and live out their religious beliefs. The Religious Liberty Clinic conducts an active teaching law practice that takes on matters to represent individuals and organizations in defense of religious freedom. <br> <br> The RLC is seeking to hire a Tax Legal Fellow to assist in mentoring students and overseeing the work of the transactional component of the Clinic. The transactional component of the Clinic includes legal work advising religiously affiliated organizations an an array of matters including issues related to real estate, tax structuring, and employment and management policies. The Tax Legal Fellow may be expected to assist in all aspects of the transactional component's work, but with a particular emphasis on tax-related matters. The Clinic is also seeking to hire Legal Fellow with a focus on real-estate advising: <b>https://jobs.nd.edu/postings/30004</b>. <br> <br> The Legal Fellow will serve a term of 1-2 years, working alongside and under the direction of the RLI faculty and supervising attorneys to mentor clinical law students and execute all aspects of client representation in service of the Clinic's mission to promote religious freedom for individuals of all faiths. The Legal Fellow will be responsible for all aspects of client representation and will supervise clinical students as they advise clients on transactional matters.
