Thompson Hine seeks an associate to join our Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group, top ranked by Chambers. This position will be located out of any of the following Thompson Hine offices: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, or Washington, D.C. The group counsels clients on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation issues, including design, implementation and maintenance of tax qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit programs, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, incentive plans and severance pay plans, ERISA fiduciary matters and benefits aspects of M&A transactions. Our clients include publicly traded corporations, privately owned companies, financial institutions and a variety of tax-exempt organizations. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in employee benefits, including demonstrated ability in the analysis of health and welfare and qualified plan issues and health and welfare and qualified plan drafting. A strong work ethic and the ability to foster client relationships are also required.
