With approximately 250 Business Trial attorneys nationwide, litigation has been at the core of Sheppard Mullin’s practice since 1927. Our litigators possess exceptional trial and appellate skills, in-depth knowledge of state and federal courts at all levels, and practical judgement. Our Litigation Practice involves all aspects of business and commercial litigation, including antitrust, creditors’ rights, banking and financial institutions, antitrust, construction, communications, general business, insurance, intellectual property, products liability, professional liability defense, real estate, environmental, securities, white collar criminal defense, and trust and estate litigation. This position offers the unique opportunity for direct partner and client interaction, providing a platform for significant professional growth. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience, including comprehensive involvement in discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation. Experience in class action defense is advantageous, alongside a strong proficiency in brief writing, including motions to dismiss, class certification motions, and summary judgment motions is a plus. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Strong time management, excellent verbal communication, writing, research, and analytical skills. Candidates must be admitted to the Illinois State Bar.
