The Washington, DC office of ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking a mid-level tax associate to join the 3rd – 6th year class. The associate will work on a variety of transactional tax matters, including corporate, partnership, M&A, joint ventures, real estate, cross-border and energy tax credit matters. The ideal candidate should have experience at a top law firm drafting substantive agreements and doing tax research and analysis across a variety of tax matters. Additional requirements include: strong organizational and writing skills, refined oral communication skills (both telephone and in-person), excellent academic credentials and a desire to excel in a large law firm environment. The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $240,000 to a maximum of $340,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
