This position is for an Associate attorney for the firm’s Silicon Valley, CA office. The salary range for this position applies to our California offices and reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. The expected salary range for this position is $234,000-$275,000. This is not inclusive of our full range, and actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct audits of employer practices, including wage and hour policies and procedures; Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, including commission and bonus plans; Draft and revise policies, handbooks and other employee communication documents so that employees can easily understand what is expected of them; Explain complex employment law issues in a way that can be understandable to a range of audiences; Identify various problem-solving options, including the pros and cons of each option, so that clients can choose the practical and legal solution that works best for them. Skills and Educational Requirements: JD from ABA-accredited law school Admitted to the CA State Bar and in good standing 7+ years of relevant experience Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace and employment law a plus Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques a plus Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience conducting trainings or workplace investigations preferred, but not required. #LI-LM1 Jackson Lewis understands that embracing our differences makes us a stronger, better firm.
