Our Legal team plays a central role in Figure's hyper growth and the realization of our mission of leveraging blockchain to transform financial services.</p> <p><b> What You'll Do</b></p> <ul> <li>Execute the vision to further Figure's position as a leader in financial services technology, blockchain and consumer lending</li> <li>Draft, review, negotiate and interpret commercial agreements to support Figure's businesses, including software/technology agreements, customer and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, services agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other complex commercial agreements</li> <li>Assist with corporate and securities transactions, including capital markets transactions, M&amp;A (or related) transactions, partnerships and financing transactions.</li> <li>Provide advice and counsel related to corporate governance, investor relations and equity related matters</li> <li>Effectively manage internal direct reports and outside counsel</li> <li>Actively collaborate with a wide variety of teams, including product, engineering, partnerships, compliance, and marketing, on a range of issues related to product development and commercialization</li> <li>Help build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new products</li> <li>Assist with regulatory compliance and contract compliance related to certain business initiatives</li> <li>Manage Figure's intellectual property licenses</li> </ul> <p><b>What We Look For</b></p> <ul> <li>J.D. and membership with at least one state bar</li> <li>5+ years combined relevant experience in a top law firm, government agency, and/or in-house legal team</li> <li>Structured finance and contract drafting skills</li> <li>Experience in consumer financial services regulations is a plus</li> <li>Experience with capital markets transactions is a plus</li> <li>Strong communication and research skills</li> <li>Self-starter who will take ownership of projects</li> <li>Strong record of hands-on contract drafting and negotiations</li> <li>Ability to succeed in a start-up environment and greenfield legal space with a flexible approach</li> <li>Sound and practical business judgment</li> </ul> <p><b>Benefits and Perks</b></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and growth opportunities</li> <li>Company quarterly performance based bonus</li> <li>Equity stock options package</li> <li>Employer funded comprehensive health, vision, dental insurance and wellness program for employees and their dependents</li> <li>Employer funded life and disability insurance coverage</li> <li>Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care, 401k, and commuter benefits</li> <li>Up to 12 weeks paid family leave</li> <li>In office, remote, and hybrid work location options</li> <li>Home office and technology stipend for those working outside of a traditional office more than 75% of the time</li> <li>Flexible time-off plan to empower employees to take the time off that they want and need</li> <li>Continuing education reimbursement</li> <li>Routine Team swag deliveries!</li> </ul> <p>Depending on your residential location certain laws might regulate the way Figure manages applicant data.
