Downey Brand LLP’s Wealth Planning practice seeks to expand with the addition of an attorney with at least 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration, with a significant emphasis on tax law relating to these practice areas. The attorney will focus on planning and administration, and will make occasional court appearances. The attorney also will collaborate with the firm’s trust and estate litigation attorneys. The position is based in the firm’s Sacramento office and may be full time or part time. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in estate planning, an interest in growing the practice, and exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. Must be a current, active member of the California Bar. Candidates should have a distinguished academic record from a nationally recognized, ABA-accredited law school. Associate salaries are based on years of experience, and bonus consideration is given for productivity and/or performance.A broad-based tax background and interest, such as an LL.M. in tax, would be a plus.
