Description
The Washington, D.C. office of Seyfarth Shaw seeks a mid-level construction associate with 3-4 years of experience with general commercial construction, complex construction projects and government contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience representing owners, contractors, design professional and/or sureties in the drafting, negotiating and administration of contracts as well as domestic and international litigation; and, will have experience with some of the following construction matters: procurement-related issues, contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, claim documentation, equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, default terminations, change order and extra work disputes, requests for equitable adjustments, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ liens, prompt payment and conditional payment disputes, construction and design defects, and bid protests. Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required.
