The Opportunity We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience in both patent and trademark prosecution to join its growing Intellectual Property Group. The Intellectual Property Group represents a full range of clients in a wide variety of industries and technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to draft and prosecute patent applications as readily and as competently as trademark applications. Experience managing foreign patent and trademark prosecution is helpful. This position will include exposure to a wide variety of technologies and direct client interface. Previous experience focused primarily on preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications and office action responses is required. Experience with patent and trademark searches and opinions, such as patentability, freedom to operate and trademark clearance, is a plus, as is portfolio management and experience before the PTAB and TTAB. Excellent academic credentials and, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering are required, as is admission to practice before the USPTO.
