Sands Anderson is seeking a highly motivated, well-rounded, local government savvy attorney to support our Government Group in our Northern Virginia practice. This role is responsible for supporting the towns, counties, and cities we serve across Northern Virginia in a wide variety of practice areas. Job Requirements: Virginia bar license required. Residence in Northern Virginia is preferred. Minimum 5 years litigation and/or general counsel experience with localities and/or the Department of Social Services Excellent client service and communication skills Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities supporting a busy senior attorney. Background in public sector, local government practice preferred. Ability to travel within Virginia to attend local government meetings in Northern Virginia is required. Ability to appear in Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts in Northern Virginia without a large amount of travel distance. Ability to appear in General District Courts in Northern Virginia without a large amount of travel distance. Ability to appear in Circuit Courts in Northern Virginia without a large amount of travel distance.
