The Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation group at Procopio is looking for a Mid level Associate to join their team at any of the California or Washington D.C. offices. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing practice at of one of the country’s most respected firms that provides substantial client contact, practice development, and professional growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5 or more years’ experience (minimum of 3 is required) in IP litigation including all aspects of pre-trial through post-trial litigation such as experience in drafting pleadings, discovery (including serving and responding to discovery requests, handling discovery disputes, and working with clients on discovery), motions and appeals, arguing motions, deposing witnesses, managing document discovery with e-discover tools, handling arbitration, and assisting in trial. Ideal candidates will have a technical background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, electronics engineering, or similar. While California bar and USPTO admission is strongly preferred for this role, candidates with at least one US state bar admission may be considered. Typical salary range is from $165,000 to $205,000 base depending on experience plus significant bonus opportunities for attorneys of all levels.
