Temporary Litigation Paralegal

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Temporary Litigation paralegal with prior trial experience and a minimum of eight (8) years of paralegal experience to be resident in our Seattle office. Primary Responsibilities Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery; Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials; Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file; Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices; Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria; Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery); Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial; Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers; Summarizing depositions and other transcripts; Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients/contacts. Working knowledge of office accounting methods and techniques, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other programs. Proven ability to conduct independent research. Prepare and understand financial accounts as well as other financial and statistical reports. Compose and disseminate correspondence as required. Ability to understand tax forms, including but not limited to federal tax returns and schedules. Qualifications BA or BS degree preferred. Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate with five years of comparable work experience required. Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests. Achieve high level of productivity. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The salary ranges for this position apply to the respective listed locations. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position.
