Gfeller Laurie LLP, a dynamic, growing boutique law firm with a national civil defense practice, seeks an associate admitted to the New York Bar with 3-5 years of civil defense litigation experience to assist in day-to-day handling of civil litigation matters in defense of personal injury, catastrophic transportation accident, general liability, labor law and product liability matters as well as in conducting rapid response investigations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Firm’s partners and must be well-versed in the CPLR and all aspects of New York practice and procedure. Strong analytical, organizational and writing skills are a must. Successful candidates must have relevant experience and a genuine interest in developing sophisticated civil defense litigation experience and skills. Admission in New York is required; additional admissions in Connecticut, New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania are advantageous. The position is for residency in the Firm’s Tarrytown, New York office, but will require some regional travel.
