The Houston office of Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a paralegal with at least ten years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience. The paralegal will primarily support lawyers in the firm’s Products, Pharma, Medical and Mass Tort practice. The role will require your presence in the office from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Assist with trial preparation, including organize and index exhibits, prepare trial binders and manage document-intensive files Prepare first draft of correspondence or serve as the liaison between trial team and third parties such as witnesses, clients, vendors and courtroom personnel, as requested Issue subpoenas for medical or work records; track and manage record; prepare medical summaries Proofread legal documents for contextual content, grammar, typographical and spelling errors; hyperlink citations and documents; extensive experience with e-filing court documents Efficiently manage and catalog client documents both internally and when using a document review platform (e.g. Relativity or Axcelerate) Create demonstratives and prepare exhibits for depositions, hearings, etc. from electronic data E-filing motions and other pleadings, including after-hours filings Project management, including docketing deadlines and create task lists for project completion Online substantive research, filing, and other administrative duties, as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Flexibility to operate independently and in a team atmosphere with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism Ability to work overtime when required Strong communication skills with the ability to interact well with people at all levels of the organization and some external parties (e.g. document review vendors) Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong judgment, initiative, integrity and be a dependable, highly motivated, team player Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities Detail oriented, with above average spelling, language and grammar skills and proficient in cite checking legal documents Familiarity with legal resources such as Lexis and Westlaw Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint High regard for confidentiality and quality work product Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and complies with all applicable federal laws and their implementing regulations that require the collection and recording of certain data and information.
