King & Spalding seeks a lateral associate for its dynamic International Trade practice in the Washington, DC office. Qualified candidates will have 2-4 years of experience in international trade and import compliance, with substantial experience and understanding of import issues unique to U.S. Customs enforcement, including customs prior disclosures, free-trade-agreement origin determinations, HTS classifications, entered value determinations, ruling requests, protests, forced labor and supply chain matters, audits, and investigations. Government experience will be viewed favorably, but is not required. A strong academic record, interest in direct contact with clients, exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are required.
