Murtha Cullina LLP is a regional law firm with offices in CT, MA and NY currently seeking a full-time Associate in its Trust & Estates department. Although the Firm’s preference would be for the position to be based in the Firm’s Hartford office, the Firm is willing to consider having the position based in Boston or any of its CT offices. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented department and firm. Position Requirements: Experience in estate and trust administration, and with estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns Experience with drafting estate planning documents, Connecticut probate court filings, estate and fiduciary accountings is preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients Candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar Admission to the Connecticut bar will be required Accounting background and/or LLM in Taxation not required, but preferred At Murtha Cullina, you will find a quality of life-based collegial work environment and a competitive benefits package.
