The Role: We currently have an opening for an Employment Associate (5-7 + PQE) on a 6 month fixed term contract basis with solid experience to join our London Employment Team. There may be an opportunity for this contract to be extended after the initial 6 months for a further 6 months. The Department: The Employment & Benefits group at Mayer Brown has lawyers in key business centres across UK/Europe, the Americas and Asia. The Employment team in London consists of 2 Partners, 2 Counsel, 1 Consultant and 4 Associates (plus trainees/paralegals). (This excludes our Pension and Benefits team.) The team has been consistently ranked as one of the leading teams in the UK and advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters (roughly 50/50 split), primarily for employers, including: Recruitment and termination of executives Restructuring programmes Business transfers and outsourcings Tribunal and High Court litigation Day to day advice/counselling International projects Corporate transactions Team moves A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 5-7+ years post qualification experience. The PQE level/s identified here is indicative only.
