As a Trademark Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the business to maximize leverage of business value through TM rights; Builds and sustains value-adding partnership with all relevant departments within the Company; e.g. Legal, Marketing, Finance, BD&L, and Regulatory. A typical day will include:
</div>
<ul>
<li> Advises and acts as a strategic partner with business leaders and colleagues on issues arising within TMs, and drives business solutions linked to expertise.</li>
<li> Educates clients on the value of IP to their business, and the best ways to build, maintain and protect that equity.</li>
<li> Drives mid-term and long-term strategic and operational goals within the department.</li>
<li> Leads the development and implementation of world class TM policies and procedures.</li>
<li> Drives the development, optimization and implementation of strategies, policies, guidelines, etc. relating to the Trademark portfolios, in cooperation with relevant interfaces.</li>
<li> Leads larger TM-related projects.</li>
<li> Acts as a resource, coach and coordinator to other department members.</li>
<li> Continuously progresses personal and professional skills, strives for excellence beyond the routine.</li>
<li> Role-models business partnership and co-operation with all functions within the global Intellectual Property (IP) function;</li>
<li> Manage outside counsel, including budgeting and resource optimization</li>
<li> Works to foster a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.</li>

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
</div>
<ul>
<li> Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs;Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)</li>
<li> The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.</li>
<li> 5 Years of Relevant Experience</li>

<li> 5 years of appropriate Trademark/business experience.</li>
<li> Experience with brand protection, domain names, and copyright a plus</li>
<li> Project management skills</li>
<li> Development of training /educational and presentation materials</li>
<li> Experience of Cross-functional; Global/Regional; Matrix organization; Senior management interaction; Law/Patent firm, government or health agency (indirect); Healthcare industry/environment; Business development and licensing (BD&L); Commercial functions; Cross-geography</li>
