<p><b>Main Objective: </b>Responsible for a broad range of IP services in order to protect the organization's legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law.</p>

<p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<div>

<li>Draft and prosecute US patent applications.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Manage patent and trademark portfolios.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Management of outside counsel working on IP-related matters.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Supporting/lead role in the development of patentability, validity, infringement, freedom-to-practice opinions and patent searching.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Frequent interaction with the R&D and product development teams.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Education and Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Registered US patent attorney, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, well grounded in patent drafting and prosecution, preferably on a world-wide basis. </li>
<li>Specific experience in orthopedic or spine industries is desirable. </li>
<li>The position will have responsibility for the IP of multiple Arthrex product groups. </li>
<li>Must also be a graduate of an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a state bar.</li>

<p><b>Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:</b></p>
<p>Advanced writing, comprehensive reading, communication and research skills required. </p>
<p>Electronic based legal research experience required.</p>

<p>MS Office, PC, printer, copiers and other miscellaneous office equipment</p>
