Energize your career with Constellation. **PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION** A highly qualified commercial technology and intellectual property attorney handling complex transactional matters. **PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES** * Performs as a specialist providing expert contractual and commercial legal counsel to Constellation – including all levels of management – in connection with technology and intellectual property transactions. (75%) * Under little or no supervision: (i) plans, conducts and supervises large and highly complex commercial technology & intellectual property transactions; (ii) evaluates legal and business risks and advises clients accordingly; and (iii) represents Constellation in other transactions, contracting and other relevant matters. (10%) * Prepares, and revises as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel. (10%) * Provides lead direction and/or project leadership direction to less experienced attorneys and support staff. * Projects / duties as assigned. (5%) **JOB SCOPE** * Manages relationships and matters with internal clients and outside counsel. * Demonstrates superior legal judgment in the business context. * Demonstrates innovation; generates new ideas and devises original and successful solutions, programs or actions. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** * An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. * At least 5 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. * Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments. * Must have the ability to communicate clearly – both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal * materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
