This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote. We are actively recruiting for an experienced privacy and data security attorney to join our growing Privacy Office. Key Responsibilities Include: * You will provide legal guidance and counsel to all levels of management on a range of privacy and data security matters; * Assist in the development, creation, roll-out, and long-term success of the Privacy Office’s programs and projects; * You will review and remain current on global privacy laws and regulations that impact Broadridge and its clients; * You will prepare privacy impact assessments and advise internal stakeholders on risk and mitigations; * Report to the Chief Privacy Officer (Associate General Counsel); * You will negotiate data protection and related agreements; * Draft global communications; * You will analyze various legal and business issues, discuss with subject matter experts, and advise business leaders; and * Support and advise business development teams and Data Use & Governance Committee in data analytics for creating new solutions. The ideal candidate has the following: * A minimum of 5 years' experience as a privacy and data security law lawyer in a top tier law firm or part of that experience in a relevant in-house practice. * Experience developing compliance programs, policies and procedures related to CCPA, CPRA, GLBA, PIPEDA, CANSPAM, FTC and State AG best practices, etc.). * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary as well as strong verbal and written communication abilities. * A self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload with competing demands, display good judgment, work well under pressure, and frame advice/analysis practically based on risks. * Must encourage and promote the strong positive culture at Broadridge. * Certified Information Privacy Professionals are preferred but not mandatory, including the following certifications: CIPP-US, CIPT, and CIPM. * Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.
