<p>The Nebraska Department of Justice / Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Attorney General ("AAG") in the Office's Health Law Section.<br> <br> Salary commensurate with comparable state agency positions and candidate experience. Full-time state benefits available. <p>The AAG will provide legal counsel to a variety of state health licensure boards, prosecute disciplinary actions against health care credential holders, and defend the Department of Health and Human Services in licensure appeals.</p>

<b>Qualifications / Requirements</b>
</div>

<p>REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and a license to practice law in Nebraska, or clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion; Minimum at least one year of experience in a private law firm or government agency or at least one year as a judicial clerk. Excellent legal writing skills, prior prosecution experience and demonstrated work ethic.<br> <br> PREFERRED: Judicial clerkship experience. Three or more years of civil litigation, appellate advocacy or criminal prosecution experience. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the relevant position.<br> <br> OTHER: Some travel required.
