Full-time state benefits available. Veterans’ preference applicable.<br> <br> Please email a cover letter, writing sample and resume to:<br> Joshua Shasserre, Chief of Staff<br> Nebraska Attorney General’s Office<br> Email Joshua.shasserre@nebraska.gov</p> </div> <div> <b>Examples of Work</b> </div> <div> <p>The AAG will provide legal counsel to a variety of state health licensure boards, prosecute disciplinary actions against health care credential holders, and defend the Department of Health and Human Services in licensure appeals.</p> </div> <div> <b>Qualifications / Requirements</b> </div> <div> <p>REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and a license to practice law in Nebraska, or clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion; Minimum at least one year of experience in a private law firm or government agency or at least one year as a judicial clerk. Excellent legal writing skills, prior prosecution experience and demonstrated work ethic.<br> <br> PREFERRED: Judicial clerkship experience. Three or more years of civil litigation, appellate advocacy or criminal prosecution experience. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the relevant position.<br> <br> OTHER: Some travel required. A criminal history and abuse background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.
