Please be sure to check your SPAM so that you do not miss critical information about our process, including scheduling.** **JOB SUMMARY** : The Vice President will be the primary legal contact for Global Atlantic's reinsurance business. The successful candidate will be based in our NYC office and will report to the SVP, Institutional Markets, Legal based in New York and will work with other Global Atlantic colleagues based in Bermuda, New York and other offices. US Transactional (VP) [New York based] * Negotiate and advise on reinsurance transactions between Global Atlantic and third-party insurance companies (including, without limitation, block and flow reinsurance of annuities and life contracts and pension liabilities) and retrocessions to Global Atlantic's Bermuda affiliated reinsurers; * Work with the Investment Office managing Global Atlantic's investment portfolio with respect to certain investment transactions, including but not limited to, transactions related to assets acquired as part of reinsurance transactions; * Provide advice on regulatory matters (both U.S. and non-U.S.) affecting Global Atlantic's reinsurance business; and * Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders as well as contacts within the broader legal & and compliance community **QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS**: * Juris Doctor degree (JD) and 4+ years of experience in the field of law, including financial services/insurance. * Experience with life/annuity reinsurance transactions. * Experience with pension risk transfer transactions a plus. * Ability to develop expertise and advise on and provide support with respect to a variety of transactions. * Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, think commercially, establish priorities and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently. * Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team. * Capacity to consider, process and filter large amounts of complex information quickly and identify appropriate actions in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work across enterprise and present complex matters to senior business leaders. * Strong communication skills, work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability. #LI-KS1 **TOTAL REWARDS STATEMENT** Global Atlantic's total rewards package is reflective of our corporate values, particularly diversity, excellence and innovation, with a focus on inclusion, pay equity, and flexibility.
