This role will be based in San Francisco and will report to the Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel, Product &amp; Commercial. This is a unique opportunity to join a nimble team in a growing organization and work on challenging issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.</p> <p><b> What you'll do:</b></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic advice and support for our core product and engineering teams, with a particular focus on shopping and growth initiatives. Identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of our product and partnership development lifecycle, and embed with those teams to monitor updates and advise on legal implications as our product evolves.</li> <li>Counsel on cutting-edge legal issues across privacy and intellectual property. </li> <li>Draft, review and negotiate partner agreements arising out of your product counseling work as necessary.</li> <li>Provide cross-functional leaders with pragmatic and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives.</li> </ul> <p><b>What we're looking for:</b></p> <ul> <li><i>Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration approximately 1x per quarter. For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover T&amp;E. Learn more about PinFlex here.</i></li> <li>JD with 6+ years of experience, including 2+ years in house counseling product teams at a technology company. Admission to California bar preferred. </li> <li>Knowledge of IP law. </li> <li>Knowledge of privacy law and comfort addressing issues related to data use.</li> <li>Track record of business and solution-oriented counseling in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.</li> <li>Proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently.</li> <li>Skill in anticipating client needs and crafting advice and solutions with the current and future needs of client teams and/or customers in mind. </li> <li>Track record of exhibiting strong judgment in handling issues, questions and projects.</li> <li>Impeccable integrity and excellent communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><b>Colorado based applicants only:</b></p> <ul> <li>The minimum and maximum salary for this position is $155,300 to $232,900 in Colorado;</li> <li>This position is eligible for equity; and</li> <li>Information regarding the culture at Pinterest and benefits available for this position can be found at https://www.pinterestcareers.com/pinterest-life/. </li> </ul> <ul> <li><i>This compensation and benefits information is based on Pinterest's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
