On the Healthcare side, the Firm’s clients have included large physician group practices, hospitals, hospital medical staff, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratory companies, as well as the complete panoply of ancillary service providers. Frier Levitt attorneys are licensed in numerous states. The Firm has offices in Pine Brook, New Jersey, and New York City. An experienced Trial Attorney is sought for Frier Levitt’s Pine Brook, NJ, office. The Trial Attorney will engage in an incredible opportunity at the firm, and will handle an exciting group of cases with national significance. Responsibilities include: Lead Trial Counsel duties (e.g., first chair at trials and arbitrations, preparing/presenting opening and closing statements, direct and cross-examination of witnesses, preparing/arguing motions in limine, preparing/arguing motions for directed verdict; preparing pre-hearing and post-hearing briefs, etc.) Developing strategies for trials and final hearings in arbitration Conducting depositions of key witnesses Defending depositions of key witnesses Conducting oral argument on substantive/dispositive motions Requirements: 7+ years of experience serving as lead trial counsel (healthcare or life sciences experience a plus) Must have conducted at least 15 trials as lead counsel Certified Civil Trial Attorney a plus Admitted to practice in NY, NJ, and/or PA (other States will be considered so long as there is a willingness to become admitted to NY, NJ or PA) Experience performing all of the job responsibilities of the position (outlined above) Strong oral communication skills Exceptional writing skills Team-player mindset Strong work ethic Benefits: Frier Levitt offers a hybrid schedule, competitive salary, and a full range of benefits, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) (upon eligibility to participate), on-site gym, and opportunities for substantial salary progression based on performance and contributions.
