Labor & Employment - Junior/Mid-Level Associate Duane Morris LLP has an opening for a labor and employment associate to join its employment practice group in New York. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years’ experience in employment related litigation and transactional employment work. Such experience includes handling discrimination cases, wage and hour class actions and contract disputes in federal and state court and/or before administrative agencies such as the Department of Labor and humans rights agencies. Transactional work includes: advice and counseling; wage and hour audits; federal and state employment law research and analysis of complex issues; preparation of employment-related documents, such as employment and severance agreements, workplace policies and procedures, employee handbook drafting and review, leaves of absence forms and letters, and employee communications. Traditional labor law and experience conducting employment training is also desired. Candidate must be able to juggle multiple assignments, be strategic and detail oriented, have a high sense of urgency and have the ability to prioritize. Superior academic and writing credentials along with New York Bar admission required. NJ/PA/CT bar admissions a plus. EOE/AA/M/F/D/V. Hybrid work schedule available. The target annual pay range for this role in New York City is $245,000-$265,000. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience, skill-set, current business needs and market factors. The compensation range listed is just one component of Duane Morris’ total comp package for employees, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and incentive packages and firm-sponsored benefit programs.
