Estate Planning Attorney - Senior Associate or Counsel

Procopio is seeking a Trust & Estates attorney with 5 or more years of estate planning experience to join the Firm’s Tax Practice Team in either its California or Arizona offices. In this role you’ll work directly with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-net-worth individuals, advising them on their complex estate tax planning needs. You will be drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, such as revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, deeds, and powers of attorney, and assisting with probate and trust administration matters. You will also assist with the preparation of Form 706 estate tax returns. International estate planning experience is a plus, as is fluency in a foreign language, such as Spanish or Vietnamese.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate (or Counsel) level Attorney to join an AmLaw 200 Firm with one of the strongest T&E teams in southern California. Mentorship is a key focus of the partners in the practice group. This role will provide the attorney with a broad range of experience servicing high net-worth clients with substantial client contact and the opportunity to develop their own book of business. Procopio is looking for a motivated attorney who not only wishes to continue growing as a practitioner but desires to be a future leader within the firm. Typical salary range is from $200,000 to $275,000 base depending on experience. In addition, this role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, brining the possible total compensation range to $235,000-$335,000 annually. A tax background (e.g. tax LL.M, CPA) is also preferred. Bilingual candidates preferred.
