Dutton Law Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Tampa office to work within the firm’s First Party Property group. The qualified candidate should have at least two (2) years of paralegal experience in civil litigation. The preferred candidate will have at least two (2) years of paralegal experience with property insurance litigation. Duties: Evaluating and breaking down claim files Drafting file memorandums identifying facts and legal issues Drafting responses to written discovery requests including Interrogatories, Request for Production, and Request for Admissions Drafting written discovery requests including Interrogatories, Request for Production, and Request for Admissions Identifying privileged and non-privileged documents and preparing Privilege Logs Preparing discovery motions and correspondence related to discovery issues Preparing Notices and Non-Party Production and Subpoenas Preparing Notices of Taking Deposition Duces Tecum and Subpoenas Preparing settlement agreements and releases Preparing Proposals for Settlement and Danis letters Interviewing fact witnesses and expert witnesses Doing legal research and property records searches using Lexis and other on-line forums Accomplish law firm mission by completing other duties as needed Required Skills/Qualifications: Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office suite Florida Rules of Civil Procedure Florida Rules of Judicial Administration Must have: organizational, time management, and planning skills verbal and written communication skills strong computer proficiency Detail oriented Dependable Able to keep confidential case and client matters Working knowledge of Time Matters, Juris billing program, and Lexis Nexis Preferred Skills/Qualifications Florida Registered Paralegal, or Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an accredited paralegal program Working knowledge of Time Matters, Juris billing program, Lexis Nexis, Florida Evidence Code, Florida Insurance Code NO RECRUITERS, PLEASE.
