Kirkland & Ellis is a seeking a senior associate or junior partner with experience in environmental and energy law for their Bay Area, Dallas, Houston, New York, Salt Lake City or Washington, D.C. office. The role involves managing environmental matters for a broad range of corporate and financing transactions, including in the energy sector for the Environmental Transactions practice. Responsibilities include managing environmental due diligence, drafting and negotiating environmental provisions for transaction and financing agreements, drafting environmental disclosure provisions for SEC filings, conducting research and analysis on cutting-edge environmental and energy law topics, and providing environmental compliance and restructuring counseling. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with federal and state environmental statutes, a deep understanding of the energy industry and regulatory schemes, and a strong grasp of the transaction process. The firm seeks candidates with 6-8 years of experience in environmental and energy law, corporate transactions, and environmental regulatory compliance. Strong academic qualifications and a law school transcript are required.
