Political Law Associate - Washington, D.C.

We are seeking an associate with three to five years of experience to join our Government Affairs and Public Policy practice group in Washington, D.C. Qualified candidates will assist in providing strategic counsel and compliance advice to clients on matters related to political and election law with a focus on lobbying and public policy, campaign finance, government ethics, and non-profit law. Knowledge of the Federal Election Campaign Act, Lobbying Disclosure Act, Foreign Agents Registration Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and Ethics in Government Act, as well as state and federal pay-to-play laws, is ideal. Our nationally-recognized group of partners, associates and compliance professionals collaborates to provide legal counsel to a diverse clientele, including corporations, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, political committees, candidates, and officeholders. Strong written and oral communication skills, organization, and teamwork are essential in this position.
