Steptoe LLP seeks an exceptionally skilled Of Counsel attorney who has expertise or a track record of being involved in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) energy regulatory proceedings and regulatory experience supporting varied energy transactions (oil, gas, power - both renewable and traditional), including PPAs, TSAs, open seasons, M&A and regulatory diligence. Strong contract drafting and review skills preferred. International experience working on infrastructure projects and preparing complex settlement agreements are a plus. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing, is also required. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant’s experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
