The incumbent in this position is responsible for reviewing all cases that are received by the section and facilitating expert review for cases involving medical malpractice. The incumbent is responsible for consulting with experts, evaluating cases, and drafting closing orders. Incumbent will present the recommendation before probable cause panels that meet regularly. Services are provided on an independent basis and reviewed through supervisor conferences and review of case files. Incumbent must have a working knowledge of common medical terminology; therefore, a nursing degree or similar healthcare background training and experience is required.</p> <br> <p></p> <p>Incumbent is responsible for maintaining and reviewing investigative and legal files which are kept in electronic format.
