<p> Rondo is a technology and project company deploying Rondo Heat Batteries to meet the energy demands of industrial processes that previously difficult to transition to carbon-free energy sources. Rondo Heat Batteries can charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, dispatchable heat for customers.</p>
<p> This lawyer will play a key part in the Company's business of developing, constructing, owning, and operating thermal energy storage ("TES") projects throughout the United States and around the globe. A close working relationship with the commercial team is essential. While the project development aspect will be the predominant functional responsibility, the position will also take on the other corporate and commercial legal responsibilities. <p><b>Primary Job Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Attend to all aspects and issues related to TES project development and financing</li>
<li>Structure, draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including term sheets; preliminary development agreements; customers agreements; engineering, procurement, and construction contracts; and O&M agreements</li>
<li>Perform diligence and provide diligence guidance to development teams and external counsel regarding development</li>
<li>Provide general legal support to finance, business development, construction, and operations teams in the deployment of TES projects</li>
<li>Provide general legal counsel and strategic guidance to the commercial team and senior and executive level management</li>
<li>Effectively and efficiently engage and manage outside counsel</li>

<p><b> Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Expertise:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>A law degree from an accredited law school, required</li>
<li>Bar membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction.</li>
<li>3 – 25 years of relevant experience. We are casting a wide net to find interested, interesting, and qualified candidates</li>
<li>Strong experience in project finance or project development preferred</li>
<li>English fluency</li>

<li>Location. The company headquarters is in Alameda, CA. We see considerable value in frequent, in-person interaction among the legal team and with our colleagues in other functions. Few employees are in the office everyday. If you live outside the Bay Area, you need to have a plan to build the relationships needed to be most effective in this role.</li>

<p> The estimated annual salary range for this role is $140,000 to $280,000 plus equity compensation. The pay band is wide to accommodate candidates' diverse skill levels and experience.</p>
